Our smallholding is home to an ever-growing menagerie, which currently includes Deer, Horses, Ducks, Chickens, Geese and the dog!

The deer are a breeding herd of common fallows and newborn fawns normally arrive early June. September is the time to see the stag in his full glory, when his antlers are fully grown, he looks magnificent.

We grow many of our own vegetables and we aim for as little waste as possible with any excess being recycled into animal fodder. The property boasts an excellent variety of established fruit trees and walnut trees from which we enjoy making homemade produce such as jams and chutneys.

Visitors adore watching the abundance of wildlife, buzzards and kites are common, we have a pair of resident kingfishers, there are green and pied woodpeckers, hoopoes, badgers, hedgehogs, wild deer, ragondin and sanglier that can all be spotted, not forgetting the cutest of all, the red squirrels.

Through the woods and fields we have wild orchids, wood anenomes, cowslips, periwinkle and throughout spring and summer we are visited by numerous varieties of butterflies, attracted to the wild flowers.

Each changing season brings it's own beauty and new surprises.
